Gena Showalter

I am in the midst of reading the Lords of the Underworld series. These books have me hooked and I felt I MUST blog about them. I am currently on book three, Reyes and Danika and have just read book one,  Maddox and Ashlyn and two, Lucien and Anya.
The Darkest Night
by: Gena Showalter
Rating: 5 candles ~ Silk sheets and chocolate sauce
naughty naughty naughty!

Maddox is an instant winner! He is Violence contained who has a conscience. I can't resist a bad boy who can't help himself but to fall in love with the nice girl. When Maddox runs into an intruder at his home he doesn't understand this pull he has to her but he must find out why. He has refused women for decades because of his demon 'Violence' and he isn't going to start accepting one now....by choice. Seems, he can't help himself when it comes to Ashlyn, and 'Violence' likes her too. She isn't afraid of him. She wants to be near him.
The LOTU are each chained with a demon, all having to struggle for control in order to keep peace. Introductions are made of:
Lucien, keeper of Death
Torin, keeper of Disease
Reyes, keeper of pain
Paris, keeper of Promiscuity
Aeron, Keeper of Wrath
Danika, human
Anya, Minor Goddess

Back of book:
His powers -- Inhuman...
His passion -- Beyond immortal . . .
All her life, Ashlyn Darrow has been tormented by voices from the past. To end the nightmare, she has come to Budapest seeking help from men rumored to have supernatural abilities, not knowing she'll be swept into the arms of Maddox, their most dangerous member -- a man trapp ed in a hell of his own.

Neither can resist the instant hunger than calms their torments . . . and ignites an irresistible passion. But every heated touch and burning kiss will edge them closer to destruction -- and a soul-shattering test of love . . .
Though they carry an eternal curse, the Lords of the Underworld are irresistibly seductive -- and unimaginably powerful . . . Don’t miss this incredible new paranormal series from Gena Showalter!
